Our place is a great place to relax or surf for a few days or a month in between the festas/parties, and all that come become enchanted. Bahia is the tourist venue of Brazil and even the Brazilians all come here!!
There's Good swimming at the beach, the water is warm and there's good surfing 100 metres away. Best waves are from May to September with an average Air/Water Temperature 25C. Board hire or lessons can be arranged.
We offer three new houses of brick and tile just 30 meters from the beach. Each has 2 bedrooms and space for 6 people, kitchen, bathroom, beds, linen and ocean/sunrise views. There is a natural spring water paddling pool and a constant shower in the grounds. 43 coco palms give some shade and our Beachfront Bar/Restaurant serves cold fruit juices, beer, snacks, seafood, Moqueca; a delicious fish stew, and breakfast if needed.
Fluent English is spoken by the Afro-English owner.
Olivença is a small, friendly, Brazilian seaside village with small cafes, bars and restaurant and some live music. 13 km north is Ilheus which has a Cinema, Internet, Banks, Carnival, Regular Live Music, Airport and Historical Centre.

How To Get Here
Fly to Ilheus Airport or Catch a Bus to Ilheus Bus Station. Ilhues is 40 minutes flying time or a 4 hour bus trip from either Porto Seguro (party town) or Salvador, the Capital and Cultural, Music and Arts Centre of Bahia. Taxi to us is then just a 10 minute ride from Ilheus.
If you have time and you're more adventurous, you can hire a car in Rio and take a fantastic 1700Km drive through very pretty country. It takes 2 or 3 days but is highly recommended by an Australian couple who stayed here in 2004.
